Your brand and your logo are not one in the same. When companies say they are rebranding, it doesn’t mean they slap a new logo up and that’s it. However, that may certainly be part of it.
Don’t let your love of logos let you forget that an image displays a brand, it isn’t the brand. Designers everywhere are recreating company logos. I’m increasingly amazed at what some come up with. Many are actually far, far better than the logos currently used.
So why not buy the rights to the logo from some random designer who threw it up on the web for fun? (Hint: I’ve answered this already.)
