Employee turnover has always been a thing. For most places, it will always be a thing.
But it blows my mind that we don’t talk about the organizations that have retained.
The ones that have paid employees fairly, trained thoroughly, and given meaningful work.
The ones that have had managers and leaders listen to them and care and treat them equally.
When things go well, we don’t feel the need to talk about it – because then we’re bragging, and that’s not how we want others to perceive us.
Point is, every industry isn’t as bad as we’re making it out to seem – and it’s not as difficult to retain good employees.
So, let’s stop acting as if the problem is with employees.
