Most folks are working with what they’ve got. A bent spoon. A cracked hammer. A brain full of good intentions and half-mended stories.
We look at them and think, why not better? But better doesn’t come from scolding. Better comes from giving more to work with.
A chef can’t make a feast with rotten tomatoes. A carpenter can’t build with warped wood. People can’t grow if all they’ve got is yesterday’s broken toolkit.
So the real question isn’t “why aren’t they doing more?” The question is “what can I hand them so more is possible?”
Because no one wakes up hoping to make a mess. They wake up trying, with whatever scraps they’ve got.
You want them to do better? Give them something better to do it with.
