Where’s The Stress

Stressed Moments

Stress is simply defined. It’s the difference between what you what in the moment and what the moment actually is.

By focusing on changing the moment to what you want, you’re focusing more on what is making you feel stressed.

The obvious (or non-obvious) solution is to become content with how things are, right now, in this moment.

Magically, the stress disappears when you no longer focus on how the moment should be different.

From there you can peacefully focus on moving in new direction if you desire.

Your Target Group

Target Circles

Those who you are targeting for your business don’t just fit into your target group.

They fit into a lot of groups.

And while staying true to your brand is sure to build loyalty; getting the attention of more of the right people may require you to reach out and into other target groups.

Nonprofit leaders in need of insurance for their organization are avid cribbage players.

There are a lot of binging Netflix watchers who are also Dungeons & Dragons fanatics.

The world might be big, but our communities are small.

The businesses that seek out the edges and the overlap are the ones that will succeed in finding, attracting and retaining a following.

Constant State Of Change

State Of Change

Energy isn’t still and nor is culture, social norms or a conversation.

If you’re not moving forward, you’re moving backward.

Similarly, you can be adding value to a connection or decreasing the value.

Everything is in a constant state of change.

It’s on us to make sure it’s a positive one.

The Art Of Solving A Problem

Problem Solving

Problems don’t get solved from afar.

They don’t get solved alone.

They don’t get solved over night.

They don’t get solved without passion.

At least, this is all true for problems worth solving.

In Front, Next To, With

Team Work

While what’s important is that you’re in front, next to or with people, you’re sending a very different signal with your posture.

If you’re in front of them, you’re serving them, you’re listening, you’re giving them your all.

If you’re next to them, you’re helping them serve, you’re listening for how you make their life easier, you’re giving them your all so they can give their all to others.

If you’re with them, you’re serving together, listening together, giving together.

All postures are important, but there’s a reason “we” is more powerful than “me.”

Following A Dream

Having all three isn’t necessarily the recipe for success or proof of an accomplishment.

But it’s certainly rare to build something meaningful without at least one of them.
