There’s a way to grow your business exponentially.

It requires more than a larger megaphone; it’s about knowing what knowledge your target has and what they need in short-term.

In other words, it’s understanding what your sharable component is.

Brewery co-ops work because of the element of sharing. Zipcar is a success because of people’s desire to share and be shared with.

No matter the industry, people are coming together for craftshares, bottleshares, knittingshares, musicshares, stockshares, couchshares, bikeshares, etc,.

This may mean you need to think of your business differently, but it’s vital that you do.

Blockbuster’s problem was that its financial model was built on late fees. The fees made it unbearable for anyone to share a movie with a friend. (What if they forgot to return it the next day and you’re stuck with the late fee!)

Then comes Netflix. Enough said.

All it takes to differentiate your business is more listening and understanding of the connectedness of your target, their wants, needs and how you can bring those three variables together for them.
