I’ve heard time and time again from people that they don’t know what to do.
I try to push on this when I can.
First, I point out that it’s not a lack of knowing that’s the problem. No one goes through life making sure they only do things they don’t like to do. There’s a trend in what they’ve chosen to do, chosen to be around, chosen to read up to this point. It’s on them to look back and connect the dots to find what they want to do.
Second, I question it’s not that they don’t know what to do, it’s that they’re waiting to be told what to do. (is it?)
Sure, you can wait for someone to tell you what they want you to do, but there’s a more awesome option: you can disrupt the industry with an idea, invention or just sheer passion.
They = you?
